The Project
When Jack and Marion met Dani for the first time in July 2004 in Cape Town, South Africa, they just talked about music and decided to have a studio session which took place in September the same year. Four songs were recorded: Music in South Africa, vocals in Germany. After that experience they decided to record a full album. Marion and Jack asked Dani to come to Germany to record in their private “Barn Tone Studio”. He arrived in June 2005 and they had a month to record the Album. With a stroke of luck they found a brilliant drummer - Patrick. Jack recorded and was controlling the faders and undertook everything to leverage this project. Marion and Jack then established the new record label "Thank God Itīs Friday" to make their first album "The long way home" open to the public.
In January 2005 the german part of the band made a journey to Cape town to visit Dan and have besides a barrel of laughs a private little tour and to play to keep the music alive. Now two years after recording and releasing "The long way home" CoZaDe feels like it is about time to give rein to their musical drive since they are bubbling over with ideas to write a bunch of beautiful new songs for their second album. To be continued...
